On Monday night, we went to Wolff Stadium to watch a San Antonio Missions game. It was so much fun, and it felt like we were in Utah again. It was "Mormon Night" so there were a lot of ward member there. Ty Detmer made an appearance too. He oversaw the jello-eating contest. The missionaries even had their part in it. Three of them got on what looked like little girl bikes and raced around part of the field. There was even a clip of Napoleon Dynamite played as a part of a contest!
The other fun thing that happened is I caught a t-shirt that was thrown into the crowd. Okay, I didn't actually catch it, but it did hit my fingertips before it bounced off a lady's shoulder who was sitting behind me and rolled back down to our row. I asked her if she wanted it and she declined. She and her husband got two t-shirts last year.
The game itself was a little slow until about the bottom of the 5th inning. Then finally someone scored a run. Happily it was the Missions. After that, the game really picked up momentum. We ended up winning 3-0.

Having Mormon night sounds like the time they showed the "Book of Mormon Movie" at the base theater in Vogelweh and both K-town and Ramstein ward members were all there. It was lots of fun!
Thats so great that they have a 'Mormon Night'. It sounds like you don't have to be home sick for 'Happy Valley'. You have your own 'Happy Valley'!
