Thanksgiving 2012

There was much to be thankful for in 2012!  Landon became an Associate, we made some large improvements to our home: shutters and a paver porch.  We were spared litigation (that's a story for another post) and we were blessed with health and happiness.

This was the best, most flavorful and moist turkey I have ever eaten!  It is definitely a keeper.

As usual, we had sweet potato pie with apples sautéed in brown sugar and butter.  This year I topped it with candied nuts from Costco.

This was a brussels-sprout recipe that I tried out.  It wasn't a big hit.

This was  a complex and flavor-rich cranberry sauce.  I loved it, but I'm not sure it was worth the extra work and ingredients.

Below was the best pumpkin pie ever!  Notice there isn't a crack down the middle?  That's right...all a part of my secret recipe.  :)
