After a few minutes, I looked over to see that he had already finished one quarter. Impressed, I went back to eating my own burger. The next thing I knew, Jonathan had finished off half of the entire burger. "He must be really hungry!" I thought to myself. When he finished another section, I was curious to see if he would eat all of it. And what do you know? He did! All except the pickle and part of the tomato that had fallen out. I was so surprised! After all, he is only three and weighs a mere thirty-three pounds--with his clothes on!

Today I was feeding Erik a baby food jar of Turkey and Rice Dinner...or should I say I was trying to feed it to him. Fed up with me sneaking bites into his mouth, he turned his head to the side, buried his face into his high chair, and voiced his protest. Giving up the fight, I gave him pieces of my own lunch to chew on instead. Finally at peace with his food choice, he ate happily while I went to get another jar of baby food--pears this time. As I went to give him a bite, he gave me the same protest as he did with the turkey. I stuffed it into his protesting mouth and he reacted with a looked that said, "Now this I like!" And what do you know? He ate the whole thing!
