McEwen Family

While we were visiting family, we had family pictures taken.  My sister, Yvette and my niece, Mic, and their families are not pictured here. 

We had a great time visiting and eating Cafe al la Fina, which is my Mom's version of Cafe Rio food.  It's SO good!

It's always fun to get together at Deer Creek.  It's so beautiful and peaceful.  My parents have seen a lot of wildlife while living there.  This year is the "Year of the Bears."  Apparently there hasn't been enough rainfall and the bears have come down looking for water and food.  My parents even had to get some bear spray since they had  a couple of sightings.  Some people across the river had trouble with the bears too.  They had Alaskan Salmon in their outdoor freezer and a bear came over and had it for lunch.  He came back the next day looking for seconds!
